Silent Sufferer

I am suffering,

But no one sees.

I have no one,

To talk to.

I have no one,

To understand me.

I have no one,

To comfort me.

I am alone,

I am the silent sufferer.

I pretend,

That I am brave,

And I pretend,

That I'm okay,

Because that,

Is what's expected of me.

I do not cry out,

Where others can hear,

And I do not wail,

Where others can see.

I am alone,

And I am suffering.
